Important documents

Here is a list of the most important documents to remember when travelling:

• Passport/ID card

• Visas (if you are travelling to a country that requires a visa, of course, and if it is not already in your passport)

• Photocopies of your identity documents

• Vouchers for your hotel reservations or car rental reservations (always print them out in case your phone runs out of battery)

• Credit card

• Health insurance card and European health insurance card if you have one

• Driving licence and international driving licence if you have one

• Airline tickets or boarding passes with flight number, date, ticket number, etc.

• A short list of addresses and telephone numbers of your contacts (if you want to send them a postcard or in case you lose your phone) and a list of emergency contacts such as your bank, credit card company, insurance company, etc.
